Compact reclosable fastening system

3M Dual Lock SJ4575 provides a low-profile, reusable alternative to screws, rivets or hook-and-loop tape. Each black polypropylene strip uses acrylic 300 LSE adhesive to bond securely to plastics, metal and finished wood. The 65 mil carrier thickness keeps assemblies thin while delivering strong shear resistance. Makers and technicians can open and close the fastener repeatedly without tools.

Build integration and surface preparation

The fastener adheres directly to clean, dry substrates, eliminating drilled holes and freeing internal space in enclosures or panels. Its single-sided mushroom design means two identical strips engage each other, so no matching hook or loop component is required. The 86# polycoated Kraft liner protects the adhesive until application, and the 6.5 mil liner thickness allows clean removal by hand. Static load guidance of four square inches per pound helps size the bond area.

Included strips and usage notes

Four pre-cut strips measuring 5/8 in. by 1-1/2 in. are supplied ready for immediate use. The format suits small electronic modules, access panels, trade-show graphics or toll-tag mounting. Because both halves are identical, strips can be cut from longer rolls and mated pairwise, simplifying inventory for repeated projects. No additional hardware or activators are needed.
