20" Red Spray Buffing Pads

These 3M 8395 pads are built for spray buffing on rotary or automatic machines running between 175 and 600 RPM. The open, textured polyester nonwoven construction holds abrasive particles bonded with durable adhesive. Each pad cleans when damp and polishes to a high gloss when dry. A carton contains five 20 inch red pads for commercial floor maintenance.

Sustained low-speed operation

At continuous speeds from 175 to 600 RPM the pads maintain consistent scuff removal and gloss building without loading up. The bonded abrasive distribution stays effective across extended passes on large areas. Heat buildup remains low because the open nonwoven structure allows airflow through the pad face. Performance stays steady until the pad material itself wears down.

Simple centre-hole mounting

The pads fit standard rotary and automatic drive boards using the centre hole; no tools or adapters are required. The main issue installers encounter is running the machine above 600 RPM, which tears the nonwoven backing and scatters abrasive. Another common error is using the pads bone-dry on heavily soiled floors, which clogs the texture and reduces gloss. Dampening the pad before each pass prevents both problems.
