Build Plate Tape for 3D Printers

This pack contains ten die-cut Kapton sheets sized at 6''x6'' (152 x 152 mm) for use as a build surface on fused-deposition printers. Each sheet has a total thickness of 0.06mm (2.4mil) split evenly between film and silicone adhesive layers. The polyimide material withstands temperatures up to 280C (536F) and works with ABS, PLA, PVA, polycarbonate and other thermoplastics. A release liner is included to simplify positioning and bubble-free application.

Suited for heated-bed printers needing replaceable

Makers who print high-temperature filaments and want a thin, durable surface that peels cleanly will benefit from the silicone adhesive and high heat rating. The pre-cut dimensions match common 6-inch beds, reducing trimming work. Users with larger build plates or those who prefer permanent surfaces such as PEI or textured spring steel should look at other solutions. The tape is not intended for non-heated beds or for printers requiring thicker sacrificial layers.

Behaviour under sustained high-temperature printing

During long prints the tape remains stable at the rated 280C limit, maintaining adhesion between the first layer and the bed without lifting at the corners. The thin 0.03mm adhesive layer transfers heat quickly to the filament, helping to prevent warping on extended ABS or polycarbonate jobs. After many thermal cycles the polyimide film can develop micro-tears or lose stickiness, so sheets should be inspected and swapped when surface quality drops.
