Questions about this item

What is the maximum continuous power output of the 240 W unit under sustained load?

The supply is rated for 240 W continuous output, so that is the ceiling you will hit first during prolonged use.

How loud is the fan and what heat should I expect when the PSU runs all day in an OptiPlex SFF?

The unit uses the original Dell cooling profile for the 3040, 5040, 7040, 3650 and 3656 SFF chassis, so fan noise and exhaust temperature match the factory design for those models.
