Replacement thermal printhead for 58 mm printers using the FTP-628MCL101 core (B-58KII)
This new thermal printhead is built to fit the FTP-628MCL101 mechanism and handles 58 mm wide media. It restores original print quality when the existing head wears out or fails. Install it to bring the printer back to service without changing firmware or ribbons.
The head draws only the energy needed to heat individual dots, so power consumption stays modest during normal receipt printing. It runs quietly because there are no moving parts inside the printhead itself. Standard airflow in the printer chassis is enough to keep temperatures stable.

Power off the printer, open the printhead latch, align the FTP-628MCL101 with the 58mm core guides, seat it firmly, then close the latch securely; the step most often missed is fully locking the latch before restoring power.
Clean the 58mm thermal line with a lint-free swab and isopropyl alcohol after every roll change; replace the FTP-628MCL101 printhead when print quality fades or missing dots appear on receipts.
