Thermal print head for 58 mm FTP-628MCL101 printers, RM-50II core
This thermal print head is a direct replacement for the FTP-628MCL101 printer core, model RM-50II. It supports two-inch 58 mm wide media and is supplied new. The part is designed for point-of-sale, kiosk or mobile receipt printers that use this specific mechanism.
The print head generates heat only during active printing cycles and cools passively between jobs. It operates silently with no moving parts or fans. Power draw is limited to the heating elements required for the 58 mm width and is managed by the host printer controller.

Power off the printer, open the print-head latch, align the new head so the connector seats squarely, close the latch until it clicks, then run a self-test to confirm even heating across the 58mm width.
Replace the head when print density becomes uneven, vertical white lines appear, or the printer reports a head-error after cleaning the 58mm heating line with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free swab.
