The YINGHUA HDMI fiber extender transmits 1080p video at 60 Hz and stereo audio up to 20 km over a single-mode SC fiber cable. It includes both transmitter and receiver units with UK power plugs for immediate deployment. The set suits installers, integrators and AV professionals who need reliable signal extension between a source such as a PC, console or media player and a remote display. Compressed H.264 transport keeps latency under 50 ms while maintaining HDCP 1.3 compliance.

Copper Cable Length Limit

Standard copper HDMI cables lose integrity well before 20 km, forcing installers to use active repeaters or accept lower resolutions. This fiber kit replaces those compromised runs with a single optical link that carries full 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz without signal boosters. The jump is worth it whenever the source and display are separated by hundreds of metres or more, such as across building campuses, lecture theatres or digital-signage networks. It also removes electromagnetic interference that degrades long copper links.

1080p 60 Hz Headroom

The extender comfortably handles 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz with 3.5 mm stereo audio at 32, 44.1 or 48 kHz sampling. Supported audio formats include LPCM 7.1, DTS and Dolby TrueHD pass-through. It runs out of headroom above 1080p 60 Hz, so 4K, high-refresh-rate or HDR sources are not supported. The transmitter provides one HDMI loop output for a local monitor, and the compressed H.264 path adds under 50 ms delay, which is acceptable for signage and presentation but not for competitive gaming.
