CNC carbide cutters for wood and PVC

This set contains five two-flute up-and-down spiral carbide end mills sized 3.175 by 12 by 38 mm. They are made from tungsten steel and intended for CNC routing of wood, plywood, density board, solid wood and particleboard. The compression geometry reduces tear-out on both faces of the workpiece. The cutters are supplied as single independent packages and are not for use by anyone under 18 years of age.

Sustained cutting in sheet goods

The up-and-down flute design shears material upward and downward simultaneously, which keeps the top and bottom surfaces clean during long passes through laminated panels. Tungsten steel resists abrasion from dense boards such as particleboard and MDF, so edge quality remains consistent over extended production runs. The right-angle drill shank fits standard collets and maintains concentricity when the spindle runs continuously. Heat builds slowly in the carbide body, allowing steady feed rates without frequent tool changes.

Replacing single-direction router bits

These compression cutters replace conventional up-cut or down-cut bits when both faces of a panel must stay splinter-free in one pass. The upgrade is worthwhile for cabinet shops, sign makers and furniture builders who process double-sided melamine, veneered plywood or solid-wood panels on a CNC router. They are not suited for handheld routers, metal cutting or abrasive composites that would dull the carbide quickly. Buyers who need larger diameters or different shank sizes must look elsewhere.
