What this VGA extender does
The VKBAND VGA extender sends a VGA signal up to 328 ft over a single Cat6 cable using one transmitter and one receiver. It supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1440 at 60 Hz and works with computers, laptops and DVRs. Audio is carried through a 3.5 mm connection on each unit. The pair is powered by two included DC 5 V adapters.
Installing the transmitter and receiver
Connect the source to the transmitter with a male-to-male VGA cable and a 3.5 mm audio cable. Link the transmitter and receiver with the Cat6 cable, then attach the display and speakers to the receiver. Plug both power adapters in and the link is active with no software or network configuration. The galvanized alloy shell provides lightning, dust and static protection while running continuously for 24 hours.
Check your cables and power before ordering
You must supply the VGA male-to-male cable and the 3.5 mm audio cables; they are not in the box. A solid Cat6 run of up to 328 ft is required between the two units. Both the transmitter and receiver need a free mains socket for their dedicated 5 V power adapters. The source and display must use standard HDB15 VGA and 3.5 mm audio ports.
