The Viega MegaPress adapter 25150 connects 1-1/2 inch press-end tubing to a 1-1/2 inch female pipe thread. It is built from carbon steel for mechanical strength in commercial and industrial piping. Installers use it to transition between press and threaded systems without welding. The fitting suits hydronic heating, compressed air and fire protection lines.

Rated 200 psi and 250 °F

The joint withstands a maximum pressure of 200 psi and operates continuously from 0 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Carbon steel handles these limits in typical hydronic and compressed-air circuits. The rating drops if the medium or ambient temperature exceeds the stated range. Designers must verify that system pressure and temperature stay within these boundaries.

Press connection eliminates threading labour

The press end removes the need to cut, ream and thread heavy-wall steel pipe on site. A compatible press tool creates a permanent, leak-tight seal in seconds. No thread sealant or tape is required at the press side. The female thread end still accepts standard NPT nipples or valves for equipment hook-up.
