Viega MegaPress 45° elbow for 1-1/2" pipe
This carbon steel press fitting joins two 1-1/2 inch tubes at a forty-five degree angle. It is designed for installers who need a permanent, flameless connection in heating, cooling or compressed-air systems rated to two hundred psi.
Press-by-press ends remove the need for threading
The factory-prepared ends accept a standard press tool, cutting installation time and eliminating open-flame permits. No additional sealant or tape is required because the integrated sealing element completes the joint during the press cycle.
Install with a compatible press jaw matched
Common issues arise when the jaw is worn, undersized or misaligned, which can leave an incomplete seal. Ensure the tubing is cut square, deburred and inserted to the marked depth before pressing.

Questions about this item
Will the carbon-steel 45-degree elbow need periodic inspection or replacement of its press-seal joints?
The carbon-steel body and press connections are designed for permanent installation; no scheduled seal replacement is required if the system operates within the 200 psi and 250 °F limits.
What pressure or temperature limit will be reached first during continuous high-demand operation?
The fitting is rated for a maximum of 200 psi and a temperature ceiling of 250 °F; whichever threshold is met first becomes the limiting factor.
Does the elbow generate noticeable heat or noise when the system runs all day at full pressure?
As a passive press-fit carbon-steel fitting with no moving parts, it produces no operational noise and adds negligible heat beyond the fluid temperature.
