Viega 25255 45° Press-Fit Elbow Steel 2" 200 psi 250°F

Purpose and fit

The Viega 25255 is a 45 degree press-fit elbow made from zinc nickel-plated steel for non-potable water systems. It joins two 2 inch pipes at an angle without threading or welding. Installers who need a permanent, leak-resistant joint in hydronic or industrial piping will use this fitting. It is not for potable water lines or for systems that require a different pipe size or connection method.

Pressure and temperature limits

The fitting is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 200 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Under sustained load the EPDM O-ring maintains its seal within these limits without the relaxation that can occur with threaded joints. Exceeding either rating risks seal failure or fitting distortion. The steel body and coating resist corrosion in closed-loop hydronic applications where oxygen ingress is controlled.

Compatibility checks

Verify that the existing pipe is 2 inch nominal size and suitable for press-fit connections before ordering. Confirm the system fluid is non-potable water and that operating conditions stay within the 200 psi and 250 degrees Fahrenheit ratings. Ensure a compatible press tool and jaw set for 2 inch steel fittings is available on site. This elbow cannot be used with copper, PEX or threaded pipe without appropriate transition fittings not included here.
