Co-Locating Mount for RPSMA Access Points

The Ventev TW-HD-RPSMACOLO is a co-locating mount that places an RPSMA access point and its antenna inches apart to simplify deployments and reduce cable loss. It supports Aruba 100, 200 and 300 series indoor access points, Aerohive 121, 230, 330 and 390 models, and Samsung 303e and 403e access points. The mount also hosts Ventev antennas and Aruba ANT-48 and ANT-4x4-5314 antennas. It is intended for indoor wireless installations where the AP and antenna must share a single mounting location.

Articulating Tray With +/- 25 Degree Range

The antenna mounting tray articulates +/- 25 degrees for precise beam positioning and locks in place with screws that prevent drift over time. This articulation is the specification that determines whether the mount can achieve the required coverage pattern for a given site. If the needed beam angle falls outside this range, the mount cannot meet the design requirement. The baseplate attaches directly to the access point and allows mounting on or above ceiling tiles. Dimensions are 9.6 x 10.0 x 5.4 inches and the unit weighs 20 lbs.

Ceiling Tile Mount With Locking Articulation

Installation consists of attaching the baseplate to the access point, securing the assembly to or above a ceiling tile, then setting the antenna tray angle and tightening the locking screws. The tray holds Ventev and select Aruba antennas without additional adapters. What usually goes wrong is forgetting to fully tighten the locking screws after aiming, which can allow the antenna to drift from its intended position over time. Operating temperature range is -4°F to +131°F.
