Vaxcel Babylon 13in Brass Sconce

The Vaxcel Babylon 13in Sconce in brass is a wall-mounted light fixture intended for indoor illumination. Its traditional styling suits hallways, bathrooms or living areas where a classic accent is desired. The fixture accepts standard bulbs to provide ambient or task lighting as needed. It is not suited for buyers who require integrated LED modules or smart-home connectivity.

Sustained Operation and Heat

Under continuous use the brass housing and open shade allow heat from the installed bulb to dissipate into the surrounding air. Performance remains stable as long as the lamp wattage matches the fixture rating and the mounting location provides adequate ventilation. The unit is not designed for enclosed recessed cavities where trapped heat could shorten bulb life or discolour the finish.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 13in brass sconce produce when lit for hours?

Heat output depends on the bulb installed; the fixture itself adds no extra heat beyond what the lamp generates.

What electrical box and wiring must already be in the wall for this sconce to mount?

A standard junction box with live, neutral and ground conductors is required for hard-wired installation.
