Universal Charger & Battery Kit

The Vanson Super Universal LCD Charger ships with four C-size AccuPower NiMH cells rated at 6000 mAh. It accepts AAA, AA, C, D and 9 V batteries in quantities of one to four for cylindrical sizes and one to two for 9 V blocks. The unit operates from 110 V to 240 V AC at 50 Hz or 60 Hz and also from a 12 V DC source, making it suitable for home, workshop or vehicle use.

Sustained Charging Behaviour

Each of the four independent channels for AA, AAA, C and D cells selects its own current automatically, while two dedicated channels handle 9 V batteries. Charge times range from 1.5 hours for smaller capacities up to 8.5 hours for the largest D cells, with a discharge function running at 400 mAh to condition cells before recharging. The blue LCD with backlight shows charge, full and bad status for every slot during these extended cycles.

Setup Checks Before Ordering

Verify that your devices use NiMH chemistry in the supported sizes, because the charger is not designed for lithium-ion or other chemistries. Confirm you have access to a mains outlet within the 110 V to 240 V range or a 12 V DC supply such as a vehicle socket. The USB port delivers 5 V at 500 mAh only, so it will not fast-charge modern smartphones or tablets. Ensure the physical footprint of 175 mm by 135 mm fits your bench or storage space.
