The Value Brand Compact Thermometer measures temperatures from 30 to 240 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 to 120 degrees Celsius. It uses a liquid-in-glass column with two-degree graduations for direct reading. A brass thermowell with a straight shank and half-inch male NPT threads connects to the process. The blue scale and translucent polypropylene body suit industrial environments.

Sustained-load behaviour

Continuous immersion in the process fluid keeps the sensing bulb at equilibrium, so the reading remains stable during long runs. The brass well conducts heat steadily without the drift seen in short-contact probes. Liquid-in-glass physics means no power supply or signal conditioning is required for extended monitoring. The fixed graduations avoid the recalibration cycles that electronic sensors demand.

Interface limits

The half-inch male NPT thread on both the thermometer and the thermowell defines the mechanical connection; sealing relies on thread engagement and any applied sealant. Brass construction resists corrosion in water and oil but is not rated for aggressive acids or high-pressure steam beyond the 240-degree upper limit. The six-inch scale length sets the minimum insertion depth for accurate indication. Users needing higher temperatures or different process connections must select another model.
