Cleanout Tee for 3-inch ABS piping

This cleanout tee connects a 3-inch hub on each side to a female NPT thread for the included plug. It is intended for drainage, waste and vent systems where occasional access for clearing blockages is required. The fitting is made from ABS pipe material rated to Cell Class 32222 under ASTM D3965.

Schedule 40 hub connections and threaded plug

The hub ends accept solvent-welded ABS pipe, while the FNPT outlet takes the supplied plug for a removable seal. Schedule 40 wall thickness provides the mechanical strength expected in standard residential and light-commercial DWV installations. The plug allows the line to be opened without cutting pipe.

Temperature and code limits

The fitting is rated for continuous service from -40 degrees to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It complies with the cell-class requirements of ASTM D3965 for ABS DWV fittings. It is not suitable for pressurised water supply lines or for temperatures outside the stated range.

Not for pressured supply or larger diameters

Builders needing a cleanout for pipe sizes other than 3 inches or for pressurised potable-water systems will need a different fitting. The hub-by-hub-by-FNPT layout also does not suit installations that require three solvent-weld hubs or three threaded ports.
