Class 150 pressure rating and NPT threads

The Class 150 rating provides adequate headroom for standard low-pressure plumbing and compressed-air systems. The 14 threads per inch on each end create a reliable seal when assembled with appropriate tape or paste. It runs out of capacity in high-pressure hydraulic circuits or steam lines that exceed the Class 150 limit. The malleable iron body resists cracking under normal mechanical stress.
