Users must verify that the process media and operating temperature fall within nitrile’s published resistance range before installation. Exceeding those limits causes swelling, hardening or premature failure.

Simple press-in installation with common pitfalls

The flat gasket drops into the coupling groove by hand; no tools or adhesives are required. Problems arise when the groove contains debris, old seal fragments or corrosion that prevent the gasket from seating evenly. Over-tightening the cam arms can also extrude the nitrile and shorten seal life. Clean the groove thoroughly, inspect for damage and tighten only until the cams lock firmly.
