Universal Infrared Remote Shutter

The Ultimaxx Wireless IR Remote Shutter triggers a camera shutter from up to 16 feet away using infrared technology. It is designed for photographers who want to take self-portraits, group shots or long exposures without touching the camera and introducing shake.

Infrared Sensor Compatibility

The single specification that decides fit is whether the camera body has a built-in infrared receiver. The remote works with most Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus and Pentax DSLR models that include that sensor; cameras lacking an IR receiver cannot be triggered by this unit.

Battery Power and Operation

A 3V lithium CR-2025 cell powers the remote and is included in the package. The device draws minimal current only when the button is pressed, so the battery lasts for extended periods of normal use. There are no fans, motors or active cooling, making operation completely silent.
