Two-PC Dual-Monitor KVM

The TRENDnet HBHK-US-SW220-1 lets two computers share two HDMI monitors and four USB 3.0 peripherals from a single keyboard and mouse. Push-button switching on the console eliminates cable swapping for users who work across a workstation and a laptop or two desktops. A 12V 1A power adapter is included to maintain stable operation when high-draw devices are connected. Plug-and-play compatibility spans Windows, Mac OS, Linux and Unix without driver installation.

HDMI 4K60Hz bandwidth ceiling

Video output reaches 4K at 60Hz only when both computers and both monitors support that resolution and every cable in the chain is rated for 4K. The supplier recommends keeping all cable runs at or below 1.5 metres to avoid signal degradation. Lower resolutions such as 2K at 144Hz or 1080p remain fully supported. Each computer must provide two HDMI outputs and each monitor must accept HDMI input for the switch to function.

Replaces manual cable swapping

This unit removes the need to physically reconnect monitors, keyboards, mice and USB 3.0 devices when moving between two computers. The upgrade is worthwhile when daily workflow involves frequent context switching and both systems already offer dual HDMI outputs. It does not suit setups where only one HDMI port exists per computer or where DisplayPort or USB-C video is the sole interface. Buyers who need more than two computer ports or more than two monitor outputs should look elsewhere.
