The Tolco 990 cable hanger attaches sway-brace aircraft cable to nominal 3/8 in conduit, pipe or threaded rod. It is made from carbon steel with a galvanized finish for corrosion resistance in industrial plumbing installations. The fitting accepts a 3/16 in cable diameter and measures 5 1/4 in long by 2 1/4 in wide. A 13/32 in mounting hole secures the attachment to the support structure.

Simple Installation with Breakaway Hex Nuts

Breakaway hex nuts tighten until the head snaps off, confirming correct torque without a torque wrench. The single mounting hole aligns with standard strut or beam profiles. Installers must verify that the cable diameter matches the 3/16 in specification and that the conduit size is nominal 3/8 in. Using an undersized cable or oversized pipe will prevent the brace from engaging properly.

Light-Duty Sway Bracing Capacity

This attachment handles light-duty seismic or vibration bracing for small-diameter conduit runs. The carbon steel body and galvanized coating suit indoor and protected outdoor environments. It is not rated for heavy structural loads, large-diameter pipe or high-tension cable systems. Builders who need higher load ratings or larger conduit sizes should select a fitting engineered for those parameters.
