The Tilta Nucleus-M FIZ Hand Unit provides three-channel wireless control for focus, iris and zoom. It integrates directly with the Nucleus-M lens control system for professional filming and photography workflows. A large wood-edged focus knob, responsive zoom joystick and iris wheel give comprehensive tactile control. The backlit LED display window remains visible in all lighting conditions.

Upgrading from basic follow focus

This hand unit replaces single-function follow-focus tools that lack wireless iris or zoom control. The jump is worth it when a shoot demands simultaneous adjustment of focus, iris and zoom from a distance. Operators who need to coordinate complex pulls without being tethered to the camera will benefit immediately. It also suits crews moving from wired systems that limit camera movement.

Simple pairing and calibration

The unit operates on fifteen 2.4 GHz channels to reduce interference in busy environments. Low, medium and maximum transmission ranges can be selected to balance distance and battery life. Lenses calibrate automatically or manually depending on the setup. Up to ten soft stops with vibration alerts can be configured for repeatable focus pulls. The main difficulty is managing channel selection when multiple wireless systems share the same location.
