Heavy-Wall Heat Shrink for Large Gauge Wire

This Thomas & Betts SHRINK-KON tube is built for electricians and technicians who need a rugged, adhesive-lined seal on cables ranging from 1 AWG to 3/0 AWG. The heavy-wall construction delivers high heat resistance and a 600 V dielectric strength for demanding power applications. It arrives as a single 4 ft length in black.

Fits Over Large Conductors Before Shrinking

The tubing starts with a 1.1 in. inside diameter, allowing it to slide over bulky connectors or splices before heat is applied. Once shrunk at a minimum of 248 Degrees F, it reduces to a 0.35 in. inside diameter with a 0.12 in. wall thickness. This 3:1 ratio locks out moisture and mechanical stress without requiring multiple tubing sizes.

Adhesive Liner Creates a Permanent Environmental

The factory-applied adhesive melts and flows during the shrink process, bonding directly to the wire insulation and connector body. This eliminates the need for separate sealants or tape while maintaining performance across a -67 to 230 Degrees F temperature range. The package contains only the tubing itself; a suitable heat gun or torch must be sourced separately.
