The TechOrbits Black converter sits on an existing desk and creates a height-adjustable platform for a computer, dual monitors and accessories. A single pneumatic spring lets you raise or lower the surface by squeezing the handle and using body weight. The work surface measures 42 by 15.7 inches and supports up to 33 lbs. A separate keyboard tray measures 25.4 by 11.8 inches and holds 4.4 lbs. The unit ships mostly assembled in black.

Limits of a Single-Spring Manual Lift

Height range runs from 4.3 to 19.7 inches above the desktop, so very tall or very short users may find the extremes unsuitable. The 33 lb top capacity restricts heavier multi-monitor arms or large all-in-one PCs. Keyboard tray capacity of 4.4 lbs excludes heavy mechanical keyboards with wrist rests. Base footprint of 30 by 16.1 inches demands a deep, sturdy host desk that will not tip. No electric preset positions or cable-management channels are included.

Simple Setup With Two Common Pitfalls

Only the keyboard tray requires attachment using the supplied tools and hardware. The pneumatic cylinder arrives pre-installed, so no fluid filling or pressure adjustment is needed. Installers often forget to tighten the tray bolts fully, causing wobble during height changes. Others place the converter on a desk that is too narrow, leaving the base overhang unstable. Verify the host surface is at least 30 inches deep before mounting.
