High-Pressure Safety Switch

The SUPCO SHP375265 is a single-pole single-throw pressure switch designed for high-pressure safety applications. It opens on rising pressure at 375 PSI and automatically resets when pressure falls to 265 PSI. The switch operates across a 0-650 PSI range with a differential tolerance of ±15 PSI. Installers needing a direct-acting safety cut-out for refrigerant or hydraulic systems will find the factory-set thresholds suit fixed-pressure protection requirements.

1/4-Inch SAE Flare Integration

A 1/4 inch female SAE pressure connection threads directly onto standard flare fittings without adapters. The direct-mount design eliminates the need for capillary tubing or remote mounting brackets, saving installation time and reducing potential leak points. The SPST contact arrangement provides a simple normally-closed circuit that interrupts power to a compressor or pump when the open pressure is reached. Systems requiring a normally-open contact or adjustable set-points will need a different switch configuration.

Sustained Cycling Reliability

Under repeated pressure cycles the switch maintains its 375 PSI open and 265 PSI close points within the stated ±15 PSI differential. The direct-acting mechanism responds to sustained over-pressure conditions rather than momentary spikes, preventing nuisance trips during normal system transients. Continuous operation at pressures near the upper 650 PSI range limit does not alter the factory calibration. Applications subject to rapid pressure pulsation or vibration beyond typical compressor duty should evaluate mounting isolation separately.
