The SonicWall TZ570 is a desktop-form-factor next-generation firewall built for mid-sized organisations and distributed enterprises with SD-Branch locations. It provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and 256 GB of combined internal and expandable storage for logging, reporting, caching and firmware backup. A bundled one-year TotalSecure Essential Edition licence activates intrusion prevention, malware protection, application control, content filtering, spyware protection and URL filtering out of the box.

Build Integration

The appliance fits into a rack or desktop deployment without proprietary mounting hardware and uses standard AC power. Its 10 ports free up switch ports by terminating WAN, LAN, DMZ and management links directly on the firewall. Redundancy is addressed by an optional second power supply that can be added later for failover protection. Buyers who need Power-over-Ethernet on the LAN ports or integrated wireless must select a different TZ570 variant.

Licence and Storage Impact

The included one-year TotalSecure Essential subscription enables the full suite of unified threat management features immediately after registration. The 256 GB storage pool supports extended log retention, automated reporting and local caching without external NAS or syslog servers. When the licence expires, signature updates and cloud-based sandboxing stop until renewal, though basic firewall throughput continues. Organisations requiring longer licence terms or advanced sandboxing must purchase separate extensions.
