Four independent gigabit ports

The SMUGDESK WX1860-T4 adds four RJ45 ports to a server or workstation through a single PCIe 2.1 x4 slot. Each port auto-negotiates at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps over Cat5e or Cat6 cable. The card targets administrators building soft routers, multi-port NAS boxes or small enterprise servers that need extra wired links without occupying multiple expansion slots.

PCIe 2.1 x4 bus bandwidth

The card runs on a PCIe 2.1 x4 interface operating at 5 GT/s, providing enough throughput for four concurrent gigabit streams. It fits mechanically into x4, x8 or x16 slots, but electrical width remains x4 so total bandwidth caps at the 2.1 generation limit. Buyers whose platform only offers PCIe 1.x or 2.0 x1 lanes will not reach full line rate on all four ports simultaneously.

Domestic WX1860-T4 controller

The onboard WX1860-T4 chip is a domestically developed controller designed to avoid foreign supply restrictions while delivering mature driver support across Windows Server, CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu and SLES. This single component determines whether the card integrates cleanly into your virtualization host or soft-router image; if your kernel or hypervisor lacks a matching driver the four ports will not appear.
