SMUGDESK USB charging cable 45cm Black USB-A

USB-A charging cable for Vuse Alto and Vype Epod

This 45cm cable connects a standard USB-A port to the magnetic charging contacts used by Vuse Alto and Vype Epod devices. It is intended for vapers who need a compact replacement or spare lead for charging at a desk, in a car or from a power bank. The short length keeps cables tidy in small bags or pockets. It is not suited to users who require a longer reach between the power source and the device.

Capacity and headroom

The cable delivers the 5 V power negotiated over a basic USB-A connection, which is sufficient for the low-current charging circuits of the supported pods. It handles the modest current draw of these devices without voltage drop over its 45cm length. It will not support higher-power protocols such as USB Power Delivery or Quick Charge, so it cannot fast-charge phones, tablets or larger accessories that demand more current.

USB-A interface limits

The USB-A plug limits the cable to legacy 5 V charging with no digital negotiation for higher voltages or currents. Data lines are not connected, so the cord cannot be used for firmware updates, file transfer or any communication with a host computer. The fixed 45cm length cannot be extended without adding another cable, which would introduce extra resistance and potential reliability issues.
