End-Tab Shelf Filing Constraints

The end-tab format only works with open-shelf systems that read labels from the side of the folder. It will not function in standard drawer cabinets that require top-tab indexing. The 25 pt. pressboard resists tearing but adds bulk, so shelf depth must accommodate the thicker spine created by eight internal dividers. No labels are included, so a separate labelling system must be sourced before the folders can be deployed.

Fastener Assembly And Divider Setup

Each folder arrives with SafeSHIELD bonded fasteners on the front panel, back panel and both sides of every divider, giving eight distinct filing surfaces. Installers must align the pre-punched divider tabs with the corresponding fastener prongs, which can be awkward when all sections are loaded at once. Papers catch on exposed prong tips if the fastener bases are not pressed fully flat during assembly. Labels are sold separately and must be applied to the end tabs before the folders enter the shelf system.
