Office Filing System

Smead 17143 folders provide colour-coded organisation for legal documents in busy offices. The green finish helps staff locate the right file quickly. Each box contains 100 folders ready for immediate use.

Replacing Worn Single-Ply Folders

These folders upgrade older stock that tears at the tab or lacks expansion. The jump is worth it when daily retrieval demands a sturdier 11 point sheet and a scored front panel that opens to three-quarter inch capacity.

Sustained Daily Handling

The one-ply tabs and rounded top corners resist bending during repeated pulling from cabinets. Undercut front panels keep labels visible even when the folder is full, so the system stays readable through months of constant access.

Questions about this item

Will these Smead 17143 folders fit a legal-size drawer or shelf?

Yes, they are made for legal-size documents and scored for 3/4 inch expansion to sit properly in standard legal drawers.

How do I label the 1/3-cut tabs on the Smead 17143 folders, and what is the common mistake?

Write or apply labels on the 1/2 inch high top tabs; the frequent error is placing labels on the undercut front panel instead of the tab itself.

When will the 11 point stock on these green folders need replacing?

Replace folders when the 11 point stock tears, the one-ply tabs detach, or the scored expansion creases wear out from repeated overfilling.
