Acid-free poly folders for document storage

These Smead 10545 folders are made of acid-free, tear-resistant poly material that repels moisture and protects documents from deterioration. Each box contains 24 letter-size manila folders designed for general office filing and long-term archival use. The poly construction resists tearing better than standard paper stock.

Fastener positions limit subdivision options

Each folder includes two fasteners fixed in positions 1 and 3, which subdivides the interior into two sections only. The 2-inch fastener capacity restricts the thickness of paper stacks that can be secured in each section. Users cannot add, remove or reposition fasteners to create different organisational layouts.

Simple setup with fixed expansion scoring

Folders arrive ready to use; just insert documents onto the pre-installed fasteners and fold the scored 3/4-inch expansion as needed. Tabs are pre-cut in assorted 1/3 positions, so tab alignment varies across the box. Misaligned tabs or overfilled sections can cause the fasteners to bend or papers to slip out.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 24-count box or is there a smaller pack available?

This product is sold only as a 24-count box; no smaller pack is offered for model 10545.

How much paper can each folder actually hold once it is on my shelf?

Each folder is scored for 3/4-inch expansion and uses two 2-inch fasteners to secure subdivided documents.

What does the 1/3 cut top tab mean for my filing cabinet?

Tabs come in three staggered positions so adjacent folders never line up, making labels easy to read in a standard letter-size drawer.
