Compact dual-band radio

The ZT-V8 is a miniature two-way radio covering VHF from 136 to 174 MHz and UHF from 400 to 520 MHz. It offers 128 memory channels with dual display and dual standby so users can monitor two frequencies at once. Output power is selectable at 5 or 1 watt for flexible range management. The package includes a lithium-ion battery, antenna, US-plug charger and belt clip for immediate use.

Built for portable daily use

A large LCD with tri-colour backlight remains readable in varied lighting while the keypad lock prevents accidental changes during transport. VOX enables hands-free operation and the built-in LED flashlight adds utility in low-light conditions. The belt clip secures the unit to a pack or clothing and the battery saver plus low-battery alert extend usable time between charges. An emergency alarm and 1750 Hz burst tone provide quick signalling options.

Frequency coverage decides suitability

The radio transmits only within the 136 to 174 MHz and 400 to 520 MHz bands, so it will not operate on frequencies outside those ranges. Buyers needing coverage of other VHF or UHF segments, or requiring wider receive ranges, must choose a different model.
