Shaft Collar 1-3/8 Inch

This two-piece aluminium collar clamps onto a 1-3/8 inch round shaft to locate or secure components in power-transmission assemblies. The split design allows installation or removal without sliding the collar along the full shaft length, saving time during maintenance. Alloy-steel screws provide the clamping force while the 2024 aluminium body keeps weight low. It suits machinery builds that need a strong, reusable shaft connection.

Upgrade From Set-Screw Collars

A two-piece clamp replaces traditional single-piece set-screw collars when the shaft cannot be disassembled or when marring the shaft surface must be avoided. The jump is worth it on equipment that requires frequent repositioning of hubs, sprockets or bearings because the collar can be opened, moved and retightened without damaging the shaft. It also eliminates the need for a keyway, simplifying shaft preparation.

Build Integration Notes

The collar measures 2 1/4 inches outside diameter and 9/16 inch wide with a 2.47 inch clearance diameter, so adjacent components must clear those dimensions. The 2024 aluminium construction resists corrosion in typical industrial environments but is not suited for high-temperature or highly corrosive settings without additional protection. Alloy-steel hardware is included, so no separate fastener sourcing is required for standard mounting.
