Questions about this item

Will the casters that retract when stepped on need periodic lubrication or replacement?

The casters retract under weight and have no documented lubrication schedule; inspect them during routine cleaning and replace only if rolling resistance increases or the retraction mechanism sticks.

What component reaches its limit first during repeated stepping cycles?

The retracting caster mechanism absorbs each step, so its spring and pivot points will show wear before the antiskid bottom or textured step surface.
