The Rode DS2 Desktop Stand is a compact studio arm that holds microphones, cameras, smartphones or lights up to 900g. Its weighted base sits on any flat surface without clamps or permanent mounting. Two pivot points let you reposition the attached device quickly for different recording angles. Integrated cable guide slots keep wiring tidy across the desk.

Replaces Clamp Mounts and Heavy Boom Arms

This stand removes the need for desk clamps, grommet mounts or floor-standing boom arms when a lightweight setup is preferred. The jump is worth it for creators who move gear between locations or want a permanent desk fixture without drilling or tightening screws. It supports the same 3/8" and 1/4" threads found on most professional microphones and camera accessories.

Limited to 900g Load and Desk Footprint

The arm is rated for devices weighing up to 900g, so heavier broadcast microphones or large cinema cameras cannot be used safely. Reach is fixed by the two pivot points; you cannot extend the arm further or raise it higher than the built-in range. The base occupies a set area on the desk, so very small surfaces may not leave enough room for a keyboard or mouse alongside it.
