Philips MSR Gold 700/2 FastFit Lamp

This replacement lamp is built for the SGM Giotto Wash 400 moving-head fixture. It serves lighting professionals and venue technicians who need a direct-fit 700 W discharge source for stage and architectural wash applications. The FastFit base allows lamp changes without tools, reducing service time during show intervals. It is not intended for fixtures that require a different wattage, base type or physical envelope.

The lamp delivers a nominal 50000 lm output at 7500 K correlated colour temperature with a CRI of 75. Rated power is 700 W at 10.2 A lamp current, and the minimum ignition supply voltage is 198 V. Maximum permitted pinch temperature is 500 °C and bulb temperature is 950 °C. Luminous efficacy is rated at 71 lm/W. These electrical and photometric limits define whether the lamp matches the fixture’s ballast and thermal design.

Tool-free FastFit installation

The FastFit base locks into the Giotto Wash 400 socket with a quarter-turn motion, so no screwdriver or allen key is required. Ensure the fixture is powered off and cooled before removal to avoid pinch-seal stress above 500 °C. Common issues include forgetting to reset the fixture’s lamp-hour counter after replacement and touching the quartz envelope with bare fingers, which creates hot spots that shorten lamp life.
