14-inch 40-pound cable ties

Partners Brand CT1440 cable ties are 14-inch nylon fasteners rated at 40 pounds tensile strength. The natural colour suits indoor bundling of cords, cables and bags. A pack contains 500 pieces for high-volume use. The tamper-proof lock prevents stretching or sliding once tightened.

Capacity and headroom

Each tie secures bundles up to the 40-pound rating, giving headroom for typical cable looms and light-duty bagging. The 14-inch length wraps larger diameters but runs out on very thick trunking or heavy conduit. The 500-count pack covers big jobs but depletes fast on continuous production lines.

Upgrade path

These replace shorter or lower-rated ties that snap under load or leave tails too short. The jump is worth it when current ties stretch, slip or require double-wrapping. They do not serve buyers who need releasable straps, stainless-steel strength or UV-stabilised black ties for permanent outdoor exposure.

Questions about this item

Will the 14" 40# ties hold bundles next to older 8" ties without slipping?

The 14" length and 40# tensile rating give a longer wrap and stronger lock than shorter ties, so mixed bundles stay fixed without sliding.

How can I confirm the CT1440 ties are locking tight after installation?

Pull each tail until the ratchet clicks; the tamper-proof head will not release or stretch, proving a secure lock.

Does the 500-pack include any mounting bases or tools, or must I buy them separately?

The pack contains only the 500 natural nylon cable ties; mounting bases and tensioning tools are sold separately.
