The Omni Trail ST Radial is a highway-terrain, all-season tyre sized 205/75R14 for special trailer service. It carries load index 100 and speed rating L, meaning it is rated for up to 75 mph on the road. The 6-ply, load-range-C construction is designed solely for trailer axles and must not be fitted to light trucks.

Limits of the ST standard

ST-marked tyres use a stronger internal structure to resist deformation under sustained trailer loads, but they are not approved for steering or drive axles on motor vehicles. The 14-inch rim diameter and 26.1-inch overall diameter fix the rolling circumference, so gear ratios and brake calibration remain unchanged only when the original size is kept. The tread depth of 9/32 inch provides the groove volume needed to evacuate water and reduce hydroplaning risk.

Straightforward fitment

Mount the tyre on a 14-inch trailer wheel with the correct load-range-C valve stem and torque the lug nuts to the wheel manufacturer's specification. The most common error is installing these tyres on a light-truck or passenger vehicle, which violates the ST designation and can lead to sudden failure. Always verify that the trailer's axle rating does not exceed the tyre's load capacity before towing.
