The open-back frame and aluminium body act as a passive heatsink, encouraging airflow around the device. Grey silicone pads on the contact surfaces grip the chassis and protect the desk.

Replaces Flat Desk Placement

Using the C3 replaces leaving a notebook flat on the table, which forces the user to look down and traps heat under the base. The elevation is worth it when long typing sessions cause neck fatigue or when the laptop throttles because its vents are blocked. The stand is not for users who prefer a fixed monitor arm, need height adjustment beyond the single preset, or want a completely rigid typing surface — the manufacturer notes slight wobble when typing on the built-in keyboard.
