Built for creators and streamers

The Nikon Z 30 mirrorless camera body is designed for creators, vloggers and streamers who want a step up from smartphone video. It records crisp 4K resolution with autofocus that tracks eyes for people and pets. The flip-out touchscreen selfie monitor keeps you in frame while recording. Lenses are sold separately and the camera works with the full NIKKOR Z line.

Sustained streaming operation

The camera supports smooth Full HD 60p streaming over USB-C and 4K 30p streaming over HDMI for extended sessions. Constant power over USB-C means the battery will not limit a long broadcast. Autofocus with several area modes adjusts to quick shifts in detail during unboxing videos, how-tos or gaming streams. The built-in stereo microphone has adjustable sensitivity for clear audio throughout.

Compact body with creator-focused connections

As the smallest camera in Nikon's Z series it is easy to use handheld or on a tabletop tripod. The USB-C port handles both streaming output and continuous power in one cable. An HDMI port provides a clean 4K 30p feed for external capture or monitoring. A smartphone app allows remote control of the camera from a compatible phone. The red REC light gives a clear visual tally when recording is live.

Questions about this item

How much power does the Z 30 draw over USB-C when streaming all day?

The camera runs on constant power over USB-C while streaming, so it does not rely on the internal battery during long sessions.

Which lens mount do I need to own before the Z 30 body will take a picture?

You need a NIKKOR Z lens; the body alone has no built-in lens and only accepts Nikon's Z-mount optics.

Will my older F-mount DSLR lenses work on this Z 30 without an adapter?

No, the Z 30 uses the Z mount, so F-mount lenses require the FTZ adapter to function.
