Starter bundle for new photographers

This Nikon D3500 kit supplies the camera body, a 64GB UHS-I U3 card, a padded case with strap, a USB card reader and a full cleaning kit. It targets beginners who want a complete package for learning DSLR basics without sourcing accessories separately. The international model 1519 ships new with every item needed to start shooting immediately.

24.2MP sensor with 64GB U3 storage

The 24.2MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 processor deliver 5 fps continuous shooting at native ISO 100-25600. The included 64GB UHS-I U3 card handles Full HD 1080p video at 60 fps and burst sequences without bottleneck. Capacity runs out during extended video sessions or high-volume RAW bursts, requiring offload or a second card.

11-point AF and SnapBridge Bluetooth

Multi-CAM 1000 11-point autofocus covers the central frame but leaves wide-edge subjects to manual focus or recompose. SnapBridge Bluetooth transfers 2MP JPEGs to a smart device; it does not move RAW files or Full HD 1080p clips at practical speed. The 3.0-inch 921k-dot LCD is fixed, so low-angle or overhead composition relies on guesswork.

Questions about this item

Will the 11-point AF system work with my older AF-D lenses?

The Multi-CAM 1000 11-point AF system requires AF-S or AF-P lenses for autofocus; AF-D lenses will need manual focus.

How do I confirm the 1080p 60 fps video is recording correctly?

Press the movie-record button to start; a red recording indicator and the time counter on the 3.0" 921k-dot LCD confirm active capture.

Does the bundle include a lens or do I need to buy one separately?

The bundle provides the D3500 body (1519), a 64GB UHS-I U3 card, padded case, USB reader, cleaning kit and cloths; a lens is not included.
