4×100G QSFP28 switch for high-density aggregation

The CRS504-4XQ-IN provides four 100G QSFP28 ports and a single 10/100 Ethernet port in a 1U form factor. A 650 MHz QCA9531 single-core CPU runs RouterOS licence level 5 for Layer 3 routing and switching. The unit targets network cores that need compact 100G connectivity without a full chassis system. It is not suited for deployments that require copper 10G or 25G interfaces.

Dual AC plus triple DC inputs with passive cooling

Two 100–240 V AC inputs and three DC sources — DC jack, 2-pin terminal and PoE-in 802.3 bt at 43–57 V — give redundant power paths for rack or cabinet installs. Max draw is 41 W with attachments and 25 W without. Passive cooling with two heatsinks keeps the 320×185×44 mm metal enclosure silent. IP20 rating limits use to protected indoor environments only.

100G QSFP28 lanes restrict breakout flexibility

Each QSFP28 cage carries four 25G electrical lanes bonded to a single 100G link; the switch does not support 4×25G breakout cables. The sole 10/100 management port cannot carry production traffic. Builders needing 40G or 25G granularity, or out-of-band management at gigabit speed, must look elsewhere.
