The AXXESS AXAC-CH5 adds up to four aftermarket cameras to the factory display on compatible Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM vehicles from 2013 onward. It generates reverse and turn-signal triggers directly from the vehicle CAN bus so no separate wiring to the tail-lamps or indicator circuits is required. The module also provides a programmable 12 V 5-amp switched output and four configurable camera control wires. Installers update firmware through the Micro-B USB port using the Axxess Updater program.

Replaces Complex Camera Wiring

Instead of splicing into reverse lights, turn signals or the vehicle speed sensor, this interface reads those signals digitally over the CAN bus and presents them as clean trigger outputs. The upgrade is worth it when the factory screen must show multiple camera views — front, rear, side or trailer — without losing the original backup camera feed. It also suits owners who want to keep an aftermarket head unit while retaining CAN-driven camera switching and VSS pass-through.

Steady CAN-Driven Operation

Because triggers come from the vehicle data network, camera switching remains consistent regardless of electrical noise or voltage drop on individual lamp circuits. The VSS input and output maintain speed-dependent features such as parking guidelines or navigation calibration during extended drives. Firmware updates applied via Micro-B USB keep the module compatible with future vehicle software revisions without removing the unit from the vehicle.
