This Metra 82-6901 adapter plate lets you mount a 5.25 inch or 6.5 inch speaker into a factory 6x9 speaker location. It also accepts a separate tweeter measuring 0.75 inch to 2 inch. Steel construction with pre-drilled holes

The plate is built from rigid steel so it resists flex and vibration once bolted down. Pre-drilled mounting holes line up with common 6x9 screw patterns, and the inner ring matches standard 5.25 inch and 6.5 inch speaker frames. The tweeter cut-out is centred for a balanced look. Check depth and tweeter size before ordering

Verify that your door or rear deck has enough clearance behind the 6x9 opening for the speaker magnet and the adapter thickness. Measure the tweeter you plan to use; it must fall between 0.75 inch and 2 inch to fit the cut-out. Confirm the factory bolt pattern matches the plate’s holes, as some vehicles use non-standard spacing.
