Right-angled Cat6 extension for tight ports

This 30 cm Cat6 cable has an RJ45 male plug and a female socket set at a 90 degree angle so the cable runs parallel to the device instead of sticking out. The right-angle design lets you connect a patch cord where straight plugs would hit a wall, a desk edge or adjacent ports. Shielded FTP construction supports 1000 Mbps Ethernet and works with any standard Cat5e or Cat6 patch lead.

Snap-in panel mount with shielded connectors

The female end includes panel mount holes so you can secure the socket in a faceplate, rack panel or custom bracket using two screws. No tools are needed for the RJ45 plugs themselves — just push until the latch clicks. The only common issue is forgetting to align the latch tab with the port cut-out; if the tab catches on the panel edge the connector will not seat fully.

Check port clearance and cable routing before

Measure the space between the Ethernet port and any obstruction to confirm a 90 degree bend will fit without forcing the cable. Verify that the panel cut-out matches the mounting-hole spacing on the female housing so the socket sits flush. Ensure the existing patch cord you plan to extend is Cat5e or higher so the link can reach 1000 Mbps.
