Milwaukee M18 battery compatibility

This buck converter is built for users who need 12 V DC power from an 18 V–20 V Milwaukee M18 battery pack. The snug connector locks the battery in place and an integrated switch lets you cut power without removing the pack. Build quality and daily use

Synchronous rectification keeps conversion efficiency up to 95 % while ripple stays at 50 mV. The housing holds a smart protection chip that guards against over-current, over-load, low-load, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-heat and short-circuit events. A two-second start-up delay prevents inrush spikes when you flip the switch. The upgraded low-voltage guard shuts the unit off automatically once the battery drops below 14.4 V, protecting both the load and the cell.

Practical limits of the 12 V 15 A interface

Continuous output is capped at 15 A for a maximum of 180 W at 12 V. Loads that draw more current or require a different voltage cannot be powered from this converter. The input window is fixed at 18 V–20 V, so packs outside that range will not operate the device. Users needing higher wattage, adjustable voltage or a different battery platform will need a separate solution.
