Close-up capability with 46mm macro filters

The included 46mm macro filter kit supplies +1, +2 and +4 dioptre close-up lenses that thread onto the front of the Sol 45mm. Each filter reduces the minimum focusing distance for tighter framing of small subjects. Stacking the filters increases magnification further, giving a flexible range of close-up performance from a single lightweight lens. Without the filters the lens focuses at its standard distance.

All-metal manual lens with tilt and bokeh control

The metal construction keeps the lens rigid while the tilt function is adjusted by hand. Manual focus and aperture eliminate electronic contacts, so power draw is zero and there are no motor noises during operation. The centre-locking feature holds the optic at zero tilt for conventional sharpness across the frame when selective focus is not wanted. Heat buildup is not a concern with this passive optical design.
