Push-Fit Tee for 6 mm Tube and 1/4 in BSPT

This Legris 3108 push-fit tee connects two 6 mm tubes to a 1/4 inch BSPT male thread. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon body is coloured black and includes pre-applied thread sealant. Supplied as a pack of 10, it suits pneumatic air lines, cutting-fluid systems and inert-gas circuits. The push-to-connect ends allow tool-free tube insertion on both branch ports.

Practical Limits of Push-to-Connect and BSPT

The push-to-connect ports accept 6 mm outside-diameter tube and seal by collet grip and O-ring; they are rated for the pressures and temperatures specified by the manufacturer for air, cutting fluids and inert gases. The 1/4 inch BSPT male thread seals on the taper with the supplied sealant and must be tightened to the maker’s torque guidance. The fitting is not intended for potable water, aggressive chemicals or vacuum service unless the supplier confirms compatibility.

Installation Ease and Common Issues

Push the tube firmly into each 6 mm port until it seats against the internal stop; no tools are required for the tube ends. Screw the BSPT thread into the mating female port using a wrench on the hex body and apply only the torque the manufacturer recommends to avoid cracking the nylon. Common problems include insufficient tube insertion causing leaks, cross-threading the taper thread, and re-using the pre-applied sealant after disassembly which compromises the seal.
