10-Inch Butterfly Valve for Industrial Flow Control

This 10-inch ductile iron butterfly valve uses a stainless steel disc and BUNA seat to regulate liquids in plumbing and process piping. The lug-type body bolts between flanges so the line can be disconnected on one side without draining the whole system. A ten-position lever handle gives operators discrete throttling steps for manual balancing.

Sustained Pressure and Temperature Behaviour

The ductile iron body and stainless steel disc maintain sealing integrity through repeated thermal cycles and continuous line pressure. BUNA elastomer resists compression set when the valve remains in one position for long periods, reducing leak paths that develop with softer seats. Lever detents prevent vibration from shifting the disc during pump start-up and water-hammer events.

Replaces Wafer Valves and Worn Seats

This lug-style unit replaces wafer-pattern valves when downstream piping must be removed while the upstream side stays pressurised. It also upgrades older cast iron valves whose discs have corroded or whose original elastomer seats have hardened. The jump is worth it when maintenance crews need positive shut-off without spreading flanges.
